All scripts on this page can be used together with the universal search/replacement tool (universal converter) Btw: This site's HTML pages with the program lists of the different categories are also automatically generated out of CSV files via a Search and Replace script. These scripts have been created with greatest care and were tested extensively. The use &/or modification of the scripts is totally free, but please note: The use &/or modification of the scripts is at your own risk! Make backups of your files before using the scripts!! You have been warned! |

html2ascii.zip |
| HTML2TeX | Convert HTML documents into LaTeX documents. German comments and readme. This script is not doing a complete conversion and
therefore should be considered experimental! However, it probably will be sufficient for most simple documents, only
few manual corrections on the converted docs should be necessary. History |

| Ho's 3rd extra: Special file list for all virus scanners |
| Why such a list?! Well, in every good virus scanner you should find an option for only checking certain file types and not wasting time on scanning huge amounts of harmless files. But often the original extension lists provided together with the scanners are not complete or as time marches on are simply missing some new extensions of file types that could harm your system. To enhance the detection of possible viruses while using the above option you should also be able to add new extensions to your scanner's list. Just compare this list with the list given here (99+ file types) and add the missing extensions. |

| Ho's 4th Extra: (La)TeX syntax highlighting for the fast universal editor Proton |
| Proton,
the little brother of the wellknown HTML Editor Phase 5 from Ulli Meybohm... ... already knows the syntax of more than 30 different program und script languages. Unfortunately a syntax highlighting for the TeX/LaTeX language for professional printing layouts is missing in the original installation archive. The necessary configuration files are now available here... Features:
Some LaTeX specialties are not supported at this time. Anybody who needs a highlighting for these should contact me. If there is a sufficient number of requests, I may implement it in future versions. BTW: The new beta version of the HTML Editor now supports syntax schemes like this one too! Happy coding! |

| Ho's 5th extra: TeX/LaTeX command reference (database) |
| First of all, what you can download to the right is not already practically usable, not even complete at all. Instead, it should be considered kind of a prebeta stage. Just take it as a demonstration how it will look like and what to expect in future versions. Then you'll be on the right track... Anyway, please have a look into this HTML sample page and into the complete zipped database to the right and please give me some feedback on it. Any comment will be appreciated and if you even like what you see, tell me so. This may encourage me to even work on it with higher priority. Why such a database? What is available as a quick reference until today is the LaTeX2e Reference (in Windows .hlp format and in HTML format) written somewhere back in the 90's when LaTeX 2.09 was still widely used (you can see it e.g., in the usage of 'documentstyle' instead of 'documentclass'). This and the various help functions of LaTeX editors is all what is available and all of them are far from being complete. However, LaTeX novices and freaks as well may use such a command list to quickly review the correct syntax or the possible options of less frequently used LaTeX commands. Working on the syntax highlighting scheme for Proton I had the idea of building this database. This first version was just put together from several files containing commands for different environments. There are several duplicate lines (same commands with slightly different meaning) and a lot of question marks in it - info that is simply missing until now. But the sample page will show you what kind of info will be there and the zipped file will show what commands to be expected (quite a lot I think... fairly more than 2800 commands right now). The very fast database dbedit is recommended for viewing the CSV file. Said enough, enjoy and don't forget to give me feedback... ;o) |

| And yet another extra: German UI for Jext |
|
Jext, the universal cross platform Java Text Editor, comes with different
language files, since the final 3.1 version also a German interface is enclosed (for most plugins too!).
Here, you will always get the most recent language version.
Just copy it into Jext's /bin/lang/ directory and select 'Deutsch' in Options. That's it!
